The European Commission published its action plan on sustainable finance aim of creating a roadmap for sustainable finance across three categories:
- reorienting capital flows toward a more sustainable economy.
- integrating sustainability into risk management.
- fostering transparency and long-termism.
Environmental – this has to do with an organisation’s impact on the planet.
Social – this has to do with the impact an organisation has on people, including staff and customers and the community.
Governance – this has to do with how an organisation is governed. Is it governed transparently? Does it report honestly and clearly on its activities?
